Warning: Slight plot points for WandaVision discussed below. However, no outright spoilers.
Today I’m going to talk about something I found in a rabbit hole I dove into, after a WandaVision easter egg. One of the Avengers in the Earth-2800 continuity is Barbara (Bobbi) Morse, otherwise known as Mockingbird. Ex-Wife of Clint Barton and highly trained, blonde bombshell SHIELD agent.
In one of her story arcs, she’s abducted by Skrulls while she’s part of the West Coast Avengers. The Skrull replaced her with a duplicate, who was later discovered after she was killed by Mephisto. After the original Mockingbird’s abduction, she was taken to the Skrull home world (Skrullos) where she worked on gathering information on the Skrull’s secret invasion plan. This could be where we see Nick Fury headed at the end of Far From Home, on Talos’ ship.
This is a stretch, I know, but humor me for a second; Dotty in WandaVision could be the person in the witness protection program that Jimmy Woo is looking for, while subsequently being the imposter Mockingbird. She could know that someone/something is after her, which is why she initially states that she doesn’t believe Wanda when she says “I don’t mean anyone harm.”
